Homework:
Weekly Packets will go home on Friday and are due the following Friday.
It will include:
Alphabetize to the first letter. They may need a lot of help at first but should get pretty good at it as the year progresses. If it starts to get easy have them alphabetize it to the second letter.
Making Words: Give your child a spelling word and have them create that word with the letter cards and then write it in the correct box. Challenge your child to create new words and write them in the correct box.
Making simple sentences. EX: The hat is red. As the year progresses challenge your child to use as many sight words as they can in one sentence.
Math Worksheets: Just choose one of the math problem sof the day to do each week night.
Reading Passages: Have your child read it every night for practice. Point out the spelling patterns in the story. Have your child underline the sight words they know.
